Louise top, bye bye summer

The last days of a summer that went by way too fast.

PATTERN

The pattern is Louise top, Republique du Chiffon. I wanted to sew something for me, but I didn’t have time to do something complicated, so I have choosen to sew this top. It is beginner friendly and the result is amazing. I cut a size 36. It is a bit tight on the breast, but I am still breastfeeding, I am sure it will be perfect once I will be back to my usual size. No modifications at all.

FABRIC

The fabric is white silk mixt jacquard, bought from Supercut. I had just 50 cm and it was enough for the top. I have completely lined the top with some white cotton, since it was a bit transparent. The quality of this fabric is amazing.

  1. Sorry, computer playing up. This is lovely!! I really like the fabric you’ve used and the little overlay at the top. You’ve reminded me I’ve a similar pattern in a Great British Sewing Bee book that I should really make up. That’s brilliant you got it out so little fabric as well!
