One hour, one project: simple skirt

I am happy to introduce you D’Alex Photography. She an amazing photographer and she is a warm friend in this cold town. I love the pictures she takes: family portraits, head shoots and kids pictures. I am so happy she dedicates time to me and my crazy ideas (because she is also a working mom, so you know better than me how busy she is). Thanks Alex. If you want to see more about her work, head over her blog here or check out her website here. All the pictures in this post are taken by her.

  • Pattern: self-drafted
  • Fabric: double gauze (a friend gift and I am in love with this fabric)
  • Difficulty: Easy, beginner friendly

The pattern is a simple rectangle, with just one seam in the back, because the width of the fabric was long enough. I have added a cotton voile lining and finished the hem and the waistband with a trim.

She loves her new girotondo and so do I. Now I am dreaming about an adult version for spring.
